DNA Replication Errors

In collaboration with University of Melbourne

About the Project

DNA replication is a core function in every organism, with many enzymes dedicated to ensuring its accuracy.

Despite these safeguards, errors in DNA replication remain the most common cause of mutations. While many mutations can be harmful to an individual organism, rare mutations may provide advantages that drive evolutionary change in the species.

The objective of this project was to create an engaging animated video that showcased the complex scientific process of DNA replication and the possible errors that it could produce. Working closely in collaboration with geneticists from Melbourne University.
